I’ve been Vegetarian for over 6 months now and am considering going Vegan soon. I don’t really know where to start. What foods do you have to keep away from if your Vegan? I know you can’t consume any animal products, so gelatin, eggs, dairy etc. I’d really appreciate it if you could list the guidelines and give a few tips on being Vegan; especially how to get enough nutrients into my diet (particularly iron, protein, B vitamins etc.) I’m 17 years old, female.

Ok. So in my honors english class my teacher is having us divide into groups and discuss the books we read. And there’s a lot of animal imagry and symolism and stuff in our books.They’re good books like ‘Fahrenheit 451′ and ‘Of Mice and Men’ but I was wondering:
When an author like Steinbeck or Bradbury is writing, do they literally go ‘Ok, I want some animal imagry here and a euphenism here. And at the end of the paragraph, a symbol…’ Or do they just write the symbols and all without even having to think about it would you say? Like we;lll be discussing the color of Curley’s wife’s dress: red, in Mice and Men. The teacher’s like, “Ok, quite honestly, Curley’s wife is a slut and red can be symbolic of that sometimes.’ But do you really think Steinbeck went, “Ok, well I don’t want her to have a yellow dress since that’s too innocent a color. I think blacks too evil. Red is more of a slut color so…” Is that how he decided on red? Or was it more like Wife=slut=red=slut color soemtimes.
Because when I write, I’ll go back and reread and I’ll pick up on my own sumbolism and animal imagery and whatnot and it’s definitely there. But I don’t specifically debate about it and think it all through while I’m writing. I define my characters ahead and then just symolize them with the applicable things and stuff. Of course, the key symbols and all I think through. But the little details? They just happen. I can’t say I don’t intend them but for me they just… I just put them in the book and don’t necessarily plan those tweaks out.
The human brain is very fast at processing things, but I realized my teacher (who isn’t big on writing but reads literature and novels like a genius)is under the impression that the authors really do go ‘Mirrors can mean self reflection. So shall I have a mirror in this paragraph for Montag to look in or maybe it’ll be something else…” And I feel like the tiny yet super effective details like that are more of an instinctive thing that authors develope. By no means am I comparing myself to Steinbeck and Bradbury. My gosh they’re amazing and I’m not. I’m just a freshman. But I really think that it’s just the key leading symbols and stuff that the author alys out and plans carefully.

So I’m 13 and I had clear skin until I got bangs in grade 4. I got pimples on my. forehead since grade 6.
Now it got a lot better and it’s just whiteheads. BUT, it’s so stubborn and annoying!
I keep hair out of my face, I don’t drink anything other than water and lemon tea, but it won’t go away!
I wash my face 2 times a day with this foaming tea tree oil cleanser. I tried Proactiv but it doesn’t work.
Benzoyl peroxide made everything worse and salicylic acid makes me break out.
So how do I get rid of this leftover acne? Its like, as soon as it starts to go away, my period comes and I break out. Haha . Do yeah. Help ?

Ps . Home remedies are probably best because store bought products usually make it worse, unless its all natural . Ha. Oh and toothpaste makes my skin red so no thanks !

Usually I’m giving advice but I really need some right now. My dog Cindy passed away a few hours ago at the age of 20 and I couldn’t have been more grateful that I got to say goodbye but it’s so hard. I feel like a mess, I feel very numb, very tired, very sad and angry, and I don’t know what to do. I’m in both physical and emotional pain right now and I don’t know how I am gonna make it through because she was such a big part of my life. I know logically, it was her time, she had been sick and she couldn’t walk very well and wasn’t eating and I am glad she is no longer suffering but I still see her everywhere! I can’t walk in a room without thinking, “is that Cindy?”. I still hear her, see her, smell her, and her stuffed animal that I have is still warm and I just want to break down every chance I get. I feel like I will never get over this and I don’t know what I should do, we went to the vet to get her cremated and we will have her back on a week but I don’t think I will be able to handle that. I can still see her lying dead in my mom’s arms and that’s traumatizing because I have never seen a dead dog before. I can’t get it out of my head, I feel like life is not worth it at all anymore cause I know that tomorrow when I wake up, she’s not gonna be there. Can anyone tell me what I should do I really don’t know and I am really desperate…

I’m trying to remember what t.v. show this episode is from. Okay, well, in this episode a kid gets in trouble or something, and a group of girls kidnap him, photo him nude or in his underwear (can’t remember which), and leave him wallowing in a barn. When the police find where he is, they rescue him and he runs home. But, before the cops can get to the house, the boy is seen hung by his belt in a tree. He doesn’t die and the cops rescue him and bring him into his house. This has been driving me psycho for like 3 or 4 years. The only extra help I can give you is that the show is sorta recent and made within the area of 1999- 2003 or 2004, and the show was kinda like Law and Order. Thanks a bunch for any answers.

Persoanlly, I find that if you are not booking a standard room it gets a little confusing when doing it online. I would say calling them up would be the best bet.

Humans can easily read our dogs’ body language. Looking at their tail, ears, expression, and stance, we can tell what they’re feeling. With leads me to think, can they read our body language? If you’re sulking, can they tell you’re feeling down? If you’re smiling, do they know you’re happy?

Like cows with mad cow disease, why did that happen?
And also, if you ate your own skin (like pealing sunburn or the edges of your fingers – like some people do) does that run the same risk as it’s your own DNA?
