I am 14 years old, and have had a gerbil before that I didn’t enjoy. I would like nothing larger then a guinea pig. Furry, cuddly (at least holdable) I would also prefer is not be nocturnal and to keep in my room… I also have two dogs (Shih Tzus) that will sometimes bark, is it still okay to get a animal if I keep it away from the dogs?

Do not get stuck in the common argument, which is one of semantics, between ’sound’ and ‘noise’, and has to do with sound waves causing sound to be carried;
or whether it means anything at all if no one is there to hear it, as several other answer point out. Arguing ’sound’ over ‘noise’ is the wrong topic of argument, a straw man, a fallacy of logic.

Montague may have formulated this aspect of it, but it originated with the pre-Socratic naturalists, especially with Parmenides who wrote, in “On Nature”: “The one: that it is and it is impossible for it not to be.”
“The one” is existence itself, the primary universal, that which cannot be broken into components. Aristotle completed it by saying “Existence exists” in the form of “A=A”. “Existence” is “the one”.
“That it is impossible for it not to be” is that noise and sound “exists”. It is impossible for it not to be because perceptually speaking it requires no one to confirm existence.

The opposite epistemology is that neither sound NOR noise exist without our being of conscious of it, because to differentiate them is semantics and creates a “straw man” argument to ignore the Primacy of Existence. You yourself point out that the argument is one of knowing whether it exists if you’re not there. Well–no, you do not know that particular tree exists, but it isn’t about a particular tree; it is about the idea that if ANY tree fell, would there still be noise/sound produced? The answer is yes, because the vibrations of the air that would cause the crash to be heard if anyone was there to hear it–they still exist. They don’t vibrate only when there are ears to hear the vibrations. The tree and the ground and the vibrations themselves have no idea if you are there.
Those on the other side who don’t accept the Primacy of Existence yet who do not try the semantic argument of differentiating between sounds and noise, believe in the Primacy of Consciousness. It says that for there to exist sound and noise, trees, bowling balls, and even for existence itself to exist, there must first be consciousness. Im a beginner in photography and I wanted to know what DSLR camera would be good for me. I’ve always edited pictures and I’m constantly taking pictures of anything (nature, people, etc).
I found that I like The Canon EOS Rebel T3i, Kodak EASYSHARE Z5010 & MAX, and Also the Nikon F6.
If there are any preferences would like to have on it would be that it can film, photograph, the cameras lenses can change, and that it has a rechargable battery already built in (no double A batteries).
